1. Warranty period
The warranty period begins on the film installation and warranty activation date.
The warranty period varies according to the protection film, product, package, coverage area and service provided.
The warranty period approved for each customer is the period recorded on the invoice or warranty certificate issued by B-CAR SMART.
If an advertisement or marketing content differs from the warranty certificate, the approved service and warranty details for the order are referred to, while respecting the customer’s statutory rights.
2. What the warranty covers
Subject to this policy, the warranty covers defects that a technical inspection establishes arose from the product or installation, including:
Abnormal film yellowing.
Cracking caused by a product defect.
Film peeling caused by a covered defect.
Installation errors, provided there has been no tampering or misuse.
The cause of the issue is determined after the vehicle is inspected at B-CAR SMART.
3. Remedies for covered cases
When a covered defect is established, B-CAR SMART determines the appropriate technical remedy for the case. This may include:
Treating the affected area.
Reattaching the edges.
Removing and replacing the damaged film piece.
Reworking the affected area when necessary.
An issue in one part of the film does not automatically require replacing the protection on the entire vehicle. The areas established to be affected by the covered defect are addressed.
4. Cases not covered
The warranty does not cover damage caused by external factors or misuse, including:
Accidents and impacts.
Friction and abrasions.
Stone impacts.
Cuts or deep scratches.
Vandalism.
Fire or abnormal heat.
Unsuitable chemicals or solvents.
Washing that damages the film or edges.
Directing strong water pressure at the edges from a short distance.
Using sharp tools on the film.
Incorrect polishing or treatment of the film.
Leaving contaminants for extended periods.
Repairs or modifications by another provider.
Incorrect film removal outside B-CAR SMART.
Attempts by the customer or another party to lift, cut or modify the film.
5. Vehicle paint condition
Before film installation, the customer must disclose any parts they know have previously been repainted, painted or repaired.
B-CAR SMART may inspect and document the vehicle and paint condition before starting work.
The film warranty does not cover damage established to arise from pre-existing paint weakness or defects, or previous repainting or repairs, without prejudice to the customer’s statutory rights.
6. Removing the protection film
PPF removal is recommended at B-CAR SMART or by a specialist using suitable tools and methods.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect film removal or third-party intervention.
Previously repainted parts may be affected during removal if the paint’s adhesion to the surface is weak.
7. Film care
To preserve the film and its quality:
Follow the care instructions provided after installation.
Avoid directing water pressure directly at the edges.
Do not use unsuitable chemicals or solvents.
Clean bird droppings, insects and contaminants as soon as appropriately possible.
Do not attempt to lift or cut the edges.
Contact B-CAR SMART if you notice any issue with the film or edges.
8. Making a warranty claim
If an issue arises, contact B-CAR SMART and provide the vehicle details and warranty or invoice.
Approving a claim may require bringing the vehicle to the centre for a technical inspection.
A claim is not approved until the cause and applicability of the warranty conditions have been verified.
9. Proof of warranty
The warranty is linked to service information recorded with B-CAR SMART, which may include:
Customer details.
Mobile number.
Vehicle details.
Plate number or vehicle identification number.
Invoice number.
Warranty certificate number.
Product and service type.
Installation date.
10. Warranty transfer
The warranty does not transfer to another owner.
11. Warranty limits
When a covered defect is established, the affected area is addressed using the appropriate technical remedy.
Coverage does not include damage or cases unrelated to a product or installation defect, without prejudice to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
12. Applicable legal provisions
This warranty policy applies in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
No provision of this policy is intended to waive or restrict any mandatory consumer right under applicable laws.
